Privacy Policy

HSX PrimeCut Ultra plays, grades, cuts and exports video on your phone. Your footage and everything you make from it stay on the device. There is no account, no cloud, no ads and no analytics.

1. Overview

Playback, grading, editing and export all run on your phone.
Your videos, edits and exports never leave the device unless you share them yourself.
There is no account, no advertising and no analytics or crash reporting service.
We have no servers that store your data.
We do not sell, share or monetise user data.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

HSX PrimeCut Ultra does not collect, store on a server, or send us any of the following:

Personal Identity

No name, email, phone number, address or account.

Your Footage

Videos, frames, sound, titles, captions and exports stay on your phone.

Advertising and Usage

No ads, no advertising ID, and no record of what you open or how you use the app.

Location and Contacts

The app has no location, contacts, camera or microphone permission.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

Library and Projects

The list of videos found on the device, resume points, favourites, bookmarks, and the edit saved for each clip, including titles and captions.

Pictures and Tables You Add

Pictures you place as stickers or watermarks and colour tables you import are copied into the app's private storage.

Exports

Exported videos are written to Movies / HSX PrimeCut Ultra and frames to Pictures / HSX PrimeCut Ultra, where your gallery can see them. The export queue keeps each job's settings and result.

Settings and Pro State

Your preferences, and whether Pro was validated with its Google Play purchase token, kept in Android's encrypted keystore backed storage so Pro works offline.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything in its private storage. Files written to Movies and Pictures stay until you delete them.

4. Network Requests and Third Party Services

Purchase Verification

When you buy or restore Pro, and about once a week while Pro is active, the app sends the Google Play purchase token, the product id and the app's package name to our verification service, which checks the purchase with Google Play. No personal data or footage is included. The service stores nothing itself; its host, Supabase, keeps short operational request logs.

Purchases, restores and the refund check run through Google Play on your device.

Speech Model for Automatic Captions

The speech model for automatic captions (Pro) is built into the app, so nothing is downloaded for it. Captions are written on your phone: the clip's sound and the words never leave the device.

Fonts

The app's typefaces, and the fonts available for titles, download from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com) the first time they are used and are cached. Google sees your IP address for those downloads.

Links You Tap

Links to our website, email or Google Play open only when you tap them.

These are the only network requests the app makes. All of them use encrypted HTTPS, and none carries your footage.

5. Google Play Purchases

Pro is a one time purchase handled entirely by Google Play.

Card and payment details never reach the app or us.
We do not receive your Google account information.
On start the app asks Google Play which purchases this account owns, so a refunded purchase is removed. This check happens between your phone and Google Play.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy.

6. App Permissions

Videos

Video access lists the clips already on your phone in the library. On Android 14 and newer you can allow only the videos you pick. On older Android the storage permission does the same, and on Android 9 and older it also lets exports be saved.

Screen Kept On During Exports

Exports run while the app is open. The app keeps the screen on until an export finishes, then lets it sleep again. No background service or extra permission is used.

The one time Pro purchase.

7. Children's Privacy

HSX PrimeCut Ultra is a general audience app. It is not directed to children under 13 and we collect no data from any user.

8. Policy Changes

This policy applies to HSX PrimeCut Ultra 1.6.1 and later, effective 8 Oct 2026. When the app's data behaviour changes, we update this page, its version and its effective date in the same release.

9. Copyright and Tamper Protection

HSX PrimeCut Ultra, its source code, design, brand identity, and all associated assets are protected by copyright. Reverse engineering, repackaging, decompiling, modifying signed builds, or redistributing the APK or AAB without written authorisation is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action under applicable copyright and computer misuse legislation.

Only builds published to Google Play under the publisher account "Hasnain Butt Akhtar / Hasnain Studio X" are genuine. Side loaded or third party builds are unauthorised and unsupported.
