Website Privacy Policy
How this website handles your information. Each application has its own separate policy, because an app running on your own machine and a website you visit are two different things.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers hasnainstudiox.com, the website you are reading now. It is published by Hasnain Butt Akhtar, trading as Hasnain Studio X, England, United Kingdom.
It does not cover the applications. Every published app has its own policy describing what that app does on your machine, and you can read any of them from the app privacy policies index. The short version of all of them is the same: the app processes your work on your own hardware and sends nothing anywhere. That is a statement about the software, not about this website, which is why the two are kept apart.
2. What this website collects directly
Nothing. There is no account to create, no newsletter, no login, and no analytics service of my own running on these pages. I do not build a profile of you and I have no database of visitors.
That is not the whole picture, though, because a website is never only the person who wrote it. The sections below name every other party involved when you load a page here, and what each of them receives.
3. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web server, they receive the technical information your browser sends in order to return a page: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser and operating system version, and the page you arrived from. This happens for every website you visit and is how the internet works.
These logs are kept by GitHub and Cloudflare under their own policies, for security and abuse prevention. I do not have access to them as an identifiable record of you, and I do not use them to track anyone.
4. The contact form
The form on the contact page asks for your name, email address, the topic or app, the platform, and your message. Submitting it sends those fields to a small program I run on Cloudflare, which turns them into an email and hands it to Resend, a delivery service, which sends it to my inbox. Neither keeps the message afterwards, and no copy is stored anywhere else. I do not operate a database of submissions; what I hold is the email in my mailbox.
I use what you send only to reply to you. I do not add you to any list, and I do not pass your message to anyone else. If you would rather not use the form, the email address is published on the same page and reaches me directly with no third party in between.
5. Fonts
The typefaces used on these pages are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google's font servers, which receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookie is set for fonts.
6. Advertising and cookies
This site displays advertising supplied by Google AdSense, and this is the part worth reading properly.
Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Third party vendors and ad networks may also themselves place cookies or use similar technologies on your browser, and I have no access to and no control over those cookies.
You can turn off personalised advertising at any time, and you do not need my permission or cooperation to do it:
- Google's own controls are at My Ad Center, where you can switch personalised ads off for your Google account.
- Google's explanation of what it collects from sites using its services is at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Industry wide opt outs are at aboutads.info and Your Online Choices.
- Your browser's own settings will block or delete cookies for this site and every other site, which is the most thorough option.
Turning personalised advertising off does not remove the advertising. It means the ads you see are chosen without reference to your browsing history.
7. If you are in the UK or the EEA
Under UK and EU law, cookies that are not strictly necessary for a site to work need your consent before they are set. Advertising cookies are in that category.
Google's advertising is governed by Google's EU user consent policy, which requires consent to be obtained from visitors in these regions before cookies are used to personalise advertising. No adverts are running on this site yet. The AdSense code is in place while the site is reviewed, but nothing is being shown. Before any advert appears, a consent banner will ask you first, and this page will be updated to describe it. The controls in the section above work at the level of your browser or your Google account and override anything this site does, whenever you choose to use them.
Where personal data is processed, the lawful basis is your consent for advertising cookies, and legitimate interest for the server logs that keep the site available and secure.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent me something through the contact form, write to me and I will delete it.
9. Links to other sites
Pages here link out to the Microsoft Store, Google Play and other places. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their policy rather than this one. It is worth reading theirs if you are about to hand over anything.
10. Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EEA you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent you have given. Since the only thing I hold is whatever you chose to send me through the contact form, those requests are usually straightforward to answer.
Write to [email protected] or use the contact page. If you are unhappy with how I have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or to your own supervisory authority in the EEA.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. There is no notification list to join, so the honest answer is to check this page if it matters to you.
