Campaign · Bug Hunt

Find a bug. Win a licence.

Use any Hasnain Studio X app the way you normally would and report what goes wrong. The most useful report each month wins a full licence for the app of your choice. You do not need to buy anything: every app has a free trial.

How it works

  1. Use an app

Install any app from Windows or Android on its free trial, and use it for real work.

  2. Write it up

When something breaks, note the steps that cause it, what you expected and what happened. A report someone else can repeat is worth most.

  3. Send it here

Use the form below. You get a reference straight away, and we reply once we have tried it ourselves.

What counts

Report these

  • Crashes, freezes and features that do not do what they say
  • Wrong results, lost settings or lost work
  • Layout faults, unreadable text or controls you cannot reach
  • Problems on a particular Windows or Android version, screen size or scale
  • Privacy or security weaknesses, reported privately through this form only

Never do these

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or modify an app, or bypass its licence, trial or protection
  • Test on devices or accounts that are not yours
  • Probe the Microsoft Store, Google Play, our website or any other service
  • Publish a security weakness before it has been fixed
  • Ask anyone for, or offer anything in return for, a rating or review

Reports that come from breaking these rules are not eligible, however useful they are.

The reward

Every month

Best report: a full licence

The most useful valid report of the month wins a lifetime licence for one Hasnain Studio X app of the winner's choice, redeemed on the Microsoft Store or Google Play.

Every confirmed bug

Your name in the hall of fame

Each confirmed bug is credited below to the first person who reported it, under the name you choose, unless you would rather not be named.

Report a bug

One bug per report. Screenshots or recordings help: mention them, and we will ask for them by email.

Your report is stored and used as described in the website privacy policy and rule 10 below.

Hall of fame

The Bug Hunt opens on 1 October 2026. Names appear here once the first reports have been confirmed.

5. Rounds

Each round runs for a calendar month and closes at 23:59 UK time on its last day. A report received after the close is judged in the following round. The first round opens on 1 October 2026.

6. Judging

This is a competition of skill, not a prize draw. Valid reports are judged by the promoter on:

Where the same bug is reported more than once, only the first report received counts. The promoter's decision is final. If no report in a round meets a reasonable standard, no prize is awarded for that round and this is said publicly.

7. Prize

8. Announcement and claiming

The winner is contacted by email within fourteen days of the round closing and announced on this page and on the studio's X account, under the name they choose. If a winner does not reply within fourteen days, the prize may go to the next best report.

9. Security reports

Report privacy or security weaknesses only through this form, and do not share them anywhere else until we confirm they are fixed. We will tell you when that happens.

10. Your data

The form collects your name, email address, the name you choose for the hall of fame and the report itself. They are used only to investigate the report, reply to you and run the Bug Hunt. Reports are stored by the studio and a copy is emailed to the studio's own mailbox. They are not sold, shared for marketing or added to any mailing list. Reports are deleted twelve months after their round closes; ask through the contact page to have yours removed sooner. Full detail is in the website privacy policy.

11. Your report

You keep any rights you have in what you write. By sending a report you allow the promoter to use it to fix the app and to describe the fix in release notes, without naming you unless you have chosen a hall of fame name.
