Made With HSX Competition Rules
These terms govern the monthly Made With HSX art competition run by Hasnain Studio X. Entering the competition means you accept them.
1. Promoter
The promoter is Hasnain Butt Akhtar, trading as Hasnain Studio X, England, United Kingdom. Contact: the contact page.
2. Eligibility
- Open to anyone aged 18 or over, worldwide, except where local law restricts entry.
- You must have a public X account in order to enter, because entries are submitted as links to public posts.
- Employees, contractors and immediate family of the promoter may not enter.
- Entry is free. No purchase is necessary, and buying an application does not improve your chance of winning.
3. How to enter
- Create an original piece using any Hasnain Studio X application.
- Post it publicly on X, tagging @HasnainStudioX and including the hashtag #MadeWithHSX.
- Register the link to that post using the entry form on the AI Studio page.
- One entry per person per monthly round. If you submit more than once, the most recent valid entry is the one judged.
- Your post must remain public until the winner is announced. Deleted or protected posts are disqualified.
4. Deadline
Each round closes at 23:59 on the last day of the calendar month, UK time. The countdown shown on the AI Studio page is indicative; the stated closing time governs. Entries received after the deadline roll into the following month.
5. Judging
This is a competition of skill, not a prize draw. Entries are judged by the promoter against three criteria, weighted equally:
- Originality — is the idea the entrant's own?
- Craft — composition, finish and technical execution.
- Use of the tool — how well the application's capabilities were used.
The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If no entry meets a reasonable standard, the promoter may decline to award a prize for that round and say so publicly.
6. Prize
- One winner per monthly round receives a lifetime licence voucher for a single premium application of their choice from the Hasnain Studio X catalogue.
- The voucher is redeemed through the Microsoft Store or Google Play, depending on the application chosen.
- There is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable.
- The winner is responsible for any tax liability arising in their own jurisdiction.
- If an application is later withdrawn from sale, an equivalent title will be offered.
7. Announcement and claiming
The winner is contacted by email within seven days of the round closing, and announced on the studio's X account and on this website. If a winner does not respond within fourteen days of being contacted, the prize may be offered to the runner-up.
8. Your rights in your work
- You keep full copyright in your artwork. Nothing here transfers ownership.
- By entering you grant the promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your entry on this website and on the studio's social accounts, for the purpose of running and promoting the competition, always with credit to you by name or X handle.
- You may withdraw that permission at any time by contacting the promoter, and the work will be removed from the studio's own channels within a reasonable period.
- You confirm the work is yours, that you have the right to enter it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
9. Content standards
Entries must not contain content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that depicts real identifiable people without their consent. The promoter may disqualify any entry that breaches these standards, without explanation.
10. Your data
The entry form collects your name, email address, X handle, the application used and the link to your post. This information is used solely to administer the competition and to contact you if you win. It is processed through Formspree, which delivers it by email to the promoter. It is not sold, shared for marketing, or added to any mailing list.
Entry records are deleted within six months of a round closing. You may ask for your data to be removed sooner via the contact page. This is the only part of the studio that collects personal data; the applications themselves collect none, as set out in each privacy policy.
11. General
- The promoter may amend these rules or suspend the competition where reasonably necessary, and will publish any change on this page.
- The competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by X, Microsoft or Google.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
